of wombats, sunshine and family
Perth is a place where:
The exchange rate is 1 Aussie dollar for 1 SGD.
I experienced the best hospitality ever from my dad’s friends.
Flies assault you every few minutes.
The locals look gorgeous without trying.
I chitchatted with God during those long drives.
Shop assistants are sincerely happy to see you.
Shop assistants ask you (all the time), “How ya doin?”
I watched an old flick that starred Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
It is not unusual to see old couples hold hands.
The shops are closed by 5-6pm.
I fed a kangaroo, tickled a wombat and eyeballed a koala.
Temperatures get pretty erratic. (It was 18 degrees for the first 3 days and over 30 degrees for the later 2.)
The views are picturesque.
I shopped way too much.
Meals can easily cost more than $50 for my entire family.
Quality time was spent, with people who matter. (:
Will upload photos on Facebook, later. As for now, I need some rest for the insane (but fruitful, I hope) week ahead.
